Adverse Weather Arrangements

To ensure the safety of exhibitors and visitors, the Hong Kong Coin Show (HKCS) will implement the following arrangements in the event of adverse weather conditions. Please pay close attention to the latest weather announcements issued by the Hong Kong Observatory and updates from HKCS official channels.

I. Before Show Opening
  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force on move-in and/or move-out days, move-in and move-out procedures will continue, subject to prevailing conditions and venue accessibility.
  • The show will not open if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in force before 7:00 a.m., or if the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force before 7:30 a.m.
  • If the relevant warning signal is cancelled on or before 2:00 p.m., the exhibition will reopen to visitors 2 hours after the signal is cancelled. Exhibitors may enter the venue 1 hour after the signal is cancelled, subject to conditions permitting.
  • If the relevant warning signal is cancelled after 2:00 p.m., the show will remain closed for the rest of the day.

II. During Show Hours

  • If the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above will be issued during exhibition hours, the show will close 2 hours after the announcement, and visitors and exhibitors will be requested to leave the venue in an orderly manner.
  • If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during exhibition hours, the show will remain open. Exhibitors and visitors are advised to stay indoors and follow any announcements or instructions from the Organizer.

Note: The Organizer reserves the right to amend these arrangements due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. The latest updates will be announced through HKCS official channels.
